Anna Reinhold

Anna Reinhold has established herself as one of the most distinctive voices of her generation. She first came to prominence through her collaborations with Les Arts Florissants under the direction of William Christie, and subsequently with Cappella Mediterranea, led by Leonardo García Alarcón. Her performances are distinguished by a combination of stylistic rigour and profound expressive freedom. Her repertoire, ranging from Monteverdi to Berlioz, has taken her to some of the most prestigious stages in Europe and beyond, including the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, the Opéra Comique, the Royal Opera of Versailles and the Brooklyn Academy of Music in New York. Together with musician Quito Gato, her privileged artistic partner, Anna Reinhold has developed a distinctive artistic world in which historical research enters into dialogue with creation. She is the founder of Le Théâtre des Songes, an ensemble conceived as a space of freedom where early music, poetry, theatre and musical traditions from around the world converge. The projects she creates alongside Quito Gato offer a deeply contemporary perspective on musical heritage. Curious and open to every repertoire, she also collaborates with composers of our time. Her recordings reveal an artist whose warm voice, refined understanding of text and expressive intensity are always placed at the service of a deeply embodied vision of music.

Quito Gato

Quito Gato graduated from the Universidad de las Artes in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He furthered his studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston. He developed an interest in early music, specialising in instruments such as the lute, baroque guitar, vihuela and theorbo, under the guidance of masters Hopkinson Smith and Eduardo Egüez. Since then, he has performed as a soloist and as a member of numerous ensembles at major venues throughout Europe and South America. In 2020, he obtained a Master’s degree in Performance from the Haute École de Musique de Genève (Switzerland), where he studied under Mónica Pustilnik. He has taken part in numerous chamber music and orchestral projects and has been a founding member of Cappella Mediterranea since 2007. Since 2000, he has made numerous critically acclaimed recordings spanning music from the medieval and baroque periods, as well as works inspired by the folk traditions of the Mediterranean and Latin America, for labels including Sony, Naxos, Virgin, Harmonia Mundi and Alpha. He regularly collaborates with prestigious ensembles, including Le Concert d’Astrée, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Le Concert de la Loge and L’Arpeggiata, among others. He has appeared as a soloist at major venues and festivals around the world, including Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall in the United States; the Teatro Real and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid; the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona; the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam; the Opéra Garnier and Opéra Bastille in Paris; the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires; La Scala in Milan; and the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. As a composer and arranger, he has worked with institutions including Radio France, the Gulbenkian Foundation and RTVE, as well as with artists such as Anne Sofie von Otter, Sonya Yoncheva, Núria Rial, Lucilla Galeazzi and Philippe Jaroussky, among others.
